When OTC isn't enough
For around a quarter of hay fever sufferers, standard over-the-counter antihistamines and nasal sprays don't provide adequate relief. If your symptoms are affecting your sleep, work, or quality of life, prescription-strength alternatives can make a significant difference.
Our consultation reviews what you've tried and provides access to a range of prescription treatments. In selected cases — typically when other options have failed — we can offer Kenalog (triamcinolone) steroid injection, which provides season-long relief in a single dose.
Who is this service for?
Most adults with hay fever can be helped with our service. Severe or atypical allergy needs specialist referral.

- Adults 18+ with seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
- Patients who have tried OTC treatments without adequate relief
- Access to prescription nasal sprays and antihistamines
- Kenalog steroid injection in selected cases

- Realistic expectation-setting on what each treatment offers
Not suitable for
- Children under 18 (refer to GP or specialist)
- Severe or year-round allergic symptoms — refer to GP/allergy specialist
- Suspected anaphylaxis or severe reactions — call 999
- Pregnant or breastfeeding women (some treatments not suitable)
- Patients with diabetes or other conditions making steroid injection unsuitable
- Patients with red-flag symptoms or complex medical needs — we will refer to GP
