When to consider a private flu vaccination

The NHS flu vaccine is free for over-65s, pregnant women, those with long-term conditions, carers, and frontline health and social care workers. If you're outside those groups, you can still get protected with a private flu vaccination.

Many people choose private flu vaccination because their workplace recommends it, they're caring for vulnerable family members, they regularly travel, or they simply want to stay well during winter. Vaccinations typically take less than 10 minutes from check-in to leaving.

Common questions

When should I get my flu vaccine?
The flu season runs September to March. Most people aim for September or October before flu starts circulating widely, but it's never too late during the season.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies year to year. Please call us on 01254 660473 for current rates.
Can I have it with my COVID booster?
Yes — in most cases COVID and flu vaccines can be given in the same appointment.
Will I get flu from the vaccine?
No — the flu vaccine cannot give you flu. Some people experience mild side-effects (sore arm, fatigue) for a day or two, but this is your immune system responding normally.
Can my company arrange vaccinations for our staff?
Yes — please call us to discuss workplace flu vaccination programmes. We're happy to accommodate group bookings.
