About the NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Service

COVID-19 vaccination remains the most effective way to protect yourself and your loved ones from serious illness. Curo Pharmacy is a participating provider in the NHS Seasonal COVID-19 Vaccination Programme — typically running in autumn and spring.

The vaccines we offer are licensed for use in the UK and supplied through the NHS. They are continually updated to target the most current variants of the virus.

COVID-19 Vaccinations FAQs

Am I eligible for a free NHS COVID vaccine?
Eligibility changes each season and is set nationally. Please call us or visit nhs.uk to check the current eligible groups. If you're not eligible on the NHS, you can have a private COVID vaccination with us.
Which vaccine will I receive?
You'll receive the latest NHS-approved seasonal COVID-19 vaccine — usually an updated mRNA vaccine targeting current variants.
Can I have my flu vaccine at the same time?
Yes — in most cases COVID and flu vaccines can be administered together, often during the same appointment. Please mention this when you arrive.
What if I've had COVID recently?
Current guidance suggests waiting around 4 weeks after a confirmed COVID infection before having a booster, but your pharmacist will assess your individual situation.
Are there side effects?
Common side-effects include arm soreness, mild fatigue, headache, and chills for 24-48 hours. Serious side effects are rare. Your pharmacist will discuss what to look out for.
